Boys and Girls U8 through U19 interested in joining AFC Rondo begin by participating in our weekly Pre-Club Rondo Training Sessions. Our program welcomes players of all backgrounds and experience levels, including recreational, AYSO, school, and current club players. Whether you're looking to transition into competitive club soccer or seeking a new development-focused environment, AFC Rondo provides a clear pathway for players committed to improving their game.

Rather than relying solely on a single-day tryout, we believe the best way to evaluate players is through our Pre-Club Training Sessions. Consistent training over time allows our coaching staff to observe each player's technical ability, tactical understanding, decision-making, work ethic, coachability, and overall potential in a realistic learning environment.

In addition to ongoing player evaluations during our Pre-Club Training Sessions, AFC Rondo will hold official tryouts in December of 2026 for the 2027–2028 season. These tryouts will provide an additional opportunity for players interested in joining AFC Rondo to be evaluated for available roster positions.

Our philosophy is simple: "Player Development Comes First!" As players train each week, our coaches continually evaluate their progress and readiness for competitive play. The AFC Rondo Training program serves as the primary pathway into our competitive teams. As players develop and roster opportunities become available, those who consistently demonstrate the technical ability, commitment, and character that reflect the AFC Rondo philosophy will be invited to join one of our teams. 

Every player is encouraged to continue developing individually while contributing to a team-first style of soccer built on technical excellence, tactical awareness, intelligent movement, creativity, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

AFC Rondo is currently forming new competitive teams for the 2027–2028 club season. Team selections will be overseen by Alex Filipovic, Director of Coaching, who, together with his coaching staff, will evaluate players throughout the Pre-Club Rondo Training Sessions and during our 2027-2028 Tryouts in December.
